Title : It's time we change and improve.Tuesday, July 6, 2010 : 8:02 PMHey guys.Well, almost all of you went for the Mrs. Lim Training Workshop today, and the diligent ME has helped everyone of you take notes!!! Firstly, let's start with common problems. This applies to EVERYONE. MOUTH SHAPE!!!! MUST MUST open!!! Ok?! Imagine a pear in your mouth, or try to yawn, and always always raise your soft pallet. Another common mistake is that all of us close our mouth or drop or placement and soft pallet for the last few notes. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! Ok now for individual comments :) Wei Ling : you need to expand your rib cage and use your support much more. Jeanne : you are generally fine :) Athena : control your tongue, make sure it's stuff behind your lower teeth, and raise your cheekbones more. Jobeth : please take noteof your centre of gravity, you seem to place it too high. Don't be too conscious about your voice but do remember not to cover upper half of your mouth. And start singing from your tummy. Germaine : don't sing too heavily, especially the last note of the phrase, and think of the vowel "a" more. Hannah : don't drop your placing for the last note too. Nicole : same problem as Hannah!! Phoebe : don't sing too heavily, and adjust more when you sing higher notes, that is, think lower your support. Don't cover your upper part of mouth and float the ending note of the phrase! Ying Jie : think a much stronger support, and maintain it through out Kylie : relax your jaw and your chest, and draw the sound from your spine as you sing (airflow!) Yupp, that's all!! Bye |
