Title :Sunday, July 25, 2010 : 7:02 PMHey fellow flag flyers!Gah, National Day is round the corner and that means learning the NDP songs! I left early on thursday and heard that you guys did home. Apart from that cliche song (we sing it every year :D ), we'll be doing this year's theme song " Song for Singapore" By Corrine May. Its a kinda sad, bluey song so I guess we'll be used to it, like how we sing home. I love the chorus of this song but its kind of high, but the lyrics are quite meaningful. The tune is typically Corrine May's style so if you listen to her songs, this melody is easy to learn, though it never resolves to a major chord, always at the 7th. So go memorise the lyrics! Its funny about thinking how low the NDP song was last year (Sung by electrico) and this year its rather high :D YAY! So do your homework before coming for practice and get used to the pronunciations to salve regina, and get the tune right for My favourite things!
