Title : DELUSION ISNT THE WAY.Monday, July 12, 2010 : 8:39 PMwell I bet everyone knows what's happening to our section and how the evil has dominated our bonds, trust and faith. Well this is the very moment we should stay united and overcome all odds with the "Power of God!" (your own God of course :) )ok enough of the preaching, let's come to terms with reality, there is a 50% chance we'll be performing in the Hong Kong Childrens' choir performance, because we aren't that ready and we haven't sorted all the parts and stuff (obviously Mrs L thinks we're --) ok. Have you been reading through your scores and memorizing the tone colour, dynamics and stuff?! In case some of you don't realise, Tone Colour: The feeling of a particular phrase, if its flat, sharp like, sad, sounds happy? Dynamics: Loud, soft, mf, f, p Tonality: Minor/major based sound (sad and happy like) Key Signature: The time of a song (4/4, 3/4, 2/4) Pulse: The beat of a song (1+2+3+4+) Articulation: wether it is legato(smoothly joined) or staccato(short, light, detached) Intonation: The pronunciation or how accurately you pronunciate the words (A to AE) Texture: Polyphonic--All sections get to sing melodies Homophonic--only we get to sing the melody and the other sections act as accompaniments. There's much more actually but I shalln't bombard this post with practical terms. Before you navigate away from this page or press that big red cross on the top right hand corner of you screen, please, ask yourselves and write your opinions in your choir diary: 1. Why do I come to choir? 2.Do I care about coming to choir and singing? 3.Do I like singing? 4.Do I try my best to sing? 5.What can I contribute to the choir? 6.Do I love my section? 7.Do I love my seniors (especially me hahaha) 8.Do I respect my seniors? 9.How can I improve my section? 10.How can I improve my own singing? -germ, bacteria |
