Title :Friday, June 18, 2010 : 11:47 PMDear Choir,Please read this e-mail very carefully as this would most probably address everything of what there is to note for the HK trip. 1.Gown There will be strictly no exchanging of gowns any more. Should you gown be too long, please make use of the safety pins that will be brought to HK and pin the hem of the gown up. Please note that the gown should not touch the floor and should end at or below your ankle, unless you are really very tall. -use safety pin to shorten the gown if it is too long - For those whose gowns will tend to slip off your shoulders, please use the non-exposure tapes that we have bought and secure the gown in place. -please handle the gowns, especially the ribbons at the side, with lots of care as no extra gowns will be brought over to HK 2.Shoes Your court shoes should resemble the attached photo. Please take photos of your court shoes (top view and side view) and e-mail it to this address should you be unsure. For the seniors, please try on the shoes and make sure that they are still comfortable. Do insert a gel pad if it is uncomfortable to walk in. -All to wear black court shoes -with no fancy prints or designs of any sort -without a strap (if possible, if not it's all right) -Must have a heel, but not stilettos -Front of the shoes should be rounded as far as possible -Preferably non-glossy 3.Hair -all lose strands of hair to be clipped up neatly. (there should be no "side-curtains") -hairbands worn must be plain and black in colour with no fancy designs -clip up your fringe unless you have bangs -tie only a single ponytail. You can french-braid your hair if you want to. 4.Make-up -Please bring your own set of cosmetics: lip gloss/lipstick, foundation, blusher, eye shadow, brushes, powder, etc -Eye shadow to be in any shades of purple or pink. -Lip gloss/ lipstick should not be bright red or dark red. Please use one that is lightly coloured. -SLs: Each section to assign one person or more to help the entire section do the make-up. Below is a list of the things that you must bring. Please add this on to the list that was issued and make sure you bring everything. (and of course remember to bring them back) 1. Gowns (the whole set) 2. Court shoes 3. Make-up 4. Hair accessories 5. Scores 6. Tuning fork 7. Pitch pipe (SLs) All the best for the HK trip! (: Should you have any queries, please reply to this e-mail address, thanks. Love, The QMs |
