Title : Awesome! :)Tuesday, March 23, 2010 : 10:05 PMHey guys.Hehe sorry for not updating earlier. But let's get back to work. (all of the below applies to ParuParong Bukid) 1. Sing with spirit! When singing, try to have a nice, creamy sound, and SMILE with expressions!!! 2. For the "p" at the starting of many phrases, remember to bounce the sound up, and not push it downwards. Imagine the sound is bouncing from your mouth to your forehead. 3.. Bar 15 focus on the F note "rong", think of r-ro-o-ng and hold full crotchet 4. At each new phrasing, please make a different feel and colour by changing your tone and expression. 5. After the first pakendengkendeng, pls rmb to come in for the paruparouy. We are always coming in at least half a bar late because the rythm of the song is real fast. 6. "nagwas deo hetes"-- was: sing as u-a-s deo: imagine you are trying to show your upper teeth!! For the whole 4 bar phrase, please do not drop your placement. Think forward esp when coming to ang pa la, and rmb continue breathe flow all the way. 7. Starting from bar 60, think of the pretty girl story that Mrs. Lim has told you. If possible, look at the Altos when singing. 8. For all Sangdang kal, remind yourself of the vowel, do not close your mouth after singing the first two words. The kal should be even clearer and more open. 9. From 'haharap' to 'at mananalamin', it is ONE PHRASE. It's quite difficult but try not to breathe in between. (during performance you should not cut in between the phrase at all) 10. Please be clear of all your lyrics and be mindful of any changes in dynamics. 11. Sing the song with a swinging feel, but feel the pulse clearly. 12. Please look at Mrs. Lim for the pulse. And that is all. Thank you! |
