Title : New Year, New People, New Things, New RulesTuesday, February 9, 2010 : 7:59 PMHey people. Me am JiaHui SL.Please please take note of what I am going to write here. Carefully. 1. Prepare a choir book. Make sure you write down dates and days as you take down notes. Leave aside some space to record down the amount of exercises you do everyday (for sec 1s, you'll be taught the exercises on Thursday) 2. PLEASE MEMORIZE YOUR PARUPARONG BUKID AND ANTS' SUMMER BY THIS THURSDAY. I hope to test all of you if possible before the welcoming party. 3. Bring all your scores on every choir days. And a pen to take down notes. 4. Please add me on your msn in case there is any announcement. And check choir blog frequently. 5. For Sec 1s, you have to be at the venue for choir at 2.30p.m. every Thursday. For Sec 2s, you have to reach at 2.45p.m. Go there earlier and start practising first. Okay I shall start on today's revision. (patience!!) -At the beginning of the song, the conssonant "p" must be light but clear. -Take note of all the accents. And the dynamics. -In bar 15, the "rong" should be a full crotchet. Don't cut short. For other "rong" in other bars, please make it sound fuller and open your mouth. -Take note of the phrasings. (As you are memorizing, it's best if you follow the beat.) -Beware of the semitones in bars 35 and 47. Pitching is important there. -In bar 55, the "deng" is short. Don't hold for too long, but neither do you hit the note anyhow. After this, there is only 2 crotchet rests before you go on to the "paruparo uy", so don't stop for too long. Always come in in time. -In the last bar, the two crotchet rests must also be performed, so keep flowing air until the whole song has really ended. -AND AND AND, don't slide/scoop up the kor-La-sang part, it'll sound ^_^ Btw, here is a link for you guys to check out how this song sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wTvehFhCQ8 BUT. The arrangement is different. So please don't learn entirely from this. Listen to the English explanation of the song too. That's all for today. :) Bye. |
